Description

Day 1: Welcome to Jamaica

Arrive, settle in, and meet your hosts and fellow guests. We’ll begin the experience together with a welcome dinner and an introduction to the Ahara Estate vision.

Day 2: River Hike & Bush Lunch

Explore the river and surrounding landscape before preparing a traditional outdoor bush lunch together. It’s your first opportunity to slow down, explore the land, and experience outdoor Jamaican living.

Day 3: From the Farm to Your Table

Learn the basics of planting, growing, and harvesting food. You’ll see how fresh ingredients can travel directly from the land to your kitchen and learn about growing some of your own food in Jamaica.

Day 4: Rest & Recharge

Enjoy an intentionally slower day. A home-cooked breakfast and dinner are included, with time in between to relax, explore, read, or simply enjoy your surroundings. Finish the evening around the fire with your choice of wine or tea.

Day 5: Herbs & the Land

Take a guided two-hour hike while identifying and gathering herbs found locally. Learn about their traditional uses and the role plants and herbs have played in Jamaican food and culture.

Day 6: Negril Beach Day

Experience one of Jamaica’s most famous stretches of coastline: Negril’s Seven Mile Beach.
Breakfast is included before departing. Spend the rest of the day exploring the beach, restaurants, and surrounding area at your own pace.

Lunch and dinner are not included on Day 6.

Day 7: Shop Like a Local

Visit a local Jamaican market and learn what everyday grocery shopping is like. Explore local produce, ingredients, foods, and vendors while becoming more familiar with day-to-day life in Jamaica.

Day 8: Fresh & Simple Day

Enjoy a lighter day centered around simple foods from the land, including:
• Fresh fruit
• Vegetables
• Coconut water
• Herbal teas

The day provides another opportunity to slow the pace and appreciate the fresh foods available locally.

Day 9: Your Day

Enjoy a free day to relax, revisit something you’ve enjoyed, spend time with others, or simply experience the property at your own pace. Breakfast and dinner are included.

Day 10: Farewell & Check-Out

Enjoy your final morning before check-out. By now, you’ll have experienced much more than a property tour. You’ll have had ten days to consider what living in Jamaica and becoming part of Ahara Estate could actually feel like.
